trying to get back to normal...

It's been a long time. I am trying to get back to normal life again. I did a simple outside table with a bit of "I deserve it, don't I?" shopping. Fruit plates are from West Elm.

I like simple even when the heat isn't my excuse.

The plates are a little stylized and maybe hard to see in my photos. This is an orange.

Hope you are having a wonderful summer, finding a cool place to enjoy it all. For other tablescapes, join Susan here.

Hello Barbara,
I missed your posts with beautiful photos. You made such a nice table, inviting and simple, so repfreshing. Would love to sit there with you, waiting for the bobcats and watching the humming birds, laughing and talking.
Best greetings, Johanna

Welcome back! It has been a while. I want to be there with you and enjoy those funky fun plates and jump in the pool. I had a hard time focusing on the table as I was so distracted by the luscious pool! Isn't it fun that you can take a break, much needed, and come back when you want. I LOVE BLOGGING!

So glad to find your post this week. You've been missed. Wonderful poolside tablescape. Around here it would have to be floating on the water with all the guests submerged...it is so danged hot! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay

Barbara, that first photo -- the overhead shot -- is amazing! I think you "did good" on finding those cool salad plates. I have those orange gingham napkins, if they're from Crate & Barrel! I'm always happy to find a post from you in my reader.

Very neat. They look so cool, although I'm sure it's far from cool.
