ahhhhh, peonies...

The peonies are here. I missed them last year. I have been pining for them for quite a while. They must be the most photogenic of all flowers. I have nothing more to say other than if you are like me and unable to grow them at home, check out Trader Joe's. I am already regretting not buying the white ones too.
Be still my heart.
I'll stop for now. Really.

Stunning photos, Barbara! My husband brought home purple ones from HEB this week. It's so fun to watch them opening day by day!

We can grow them in the midwest and they usually bloom around Memorial Day. However, this year we had a very mild winter and early spring and they bloomed the first week of May. So weird. My favorites are the deep red and I'm thrilled that our neighbors have a whole row of them and they were beautiful!

Beautiful! Our peonies here in Southeast Missouri bloomed early, Late April/first of May, too. Just found your lovely blog, and I am following!
So nice to meet you!
Hugs,

Peonies are one of my favorite flowers, too. I'm so glad we can grow them here in Tennessee; but alas, they've already come and gone this year. Your pictures were a nice treat ... They are gorgeous!

Beautiful photos. Our peonies have come and gone. I was able to bring some in for a vase before they passed. They are so short-lived, but oh so beautiful. Dianne

Peonies are my favorite flower. Gorgeous. Hey, a few posts back, you really liked the blue Williams Sonoma linen cloth that I used in a post called Ridgway Lynton. I just noticed on eBay that the same cloth is currently up for auction under Williams Sonoma tablecloths. Thought that you might like to take a look at it. Happy hunting. Cherry Kay

So gorgeous! I'm enjoying mine as well. Got some this week that have lasted and lasted. You and I will have to plan a trip to Chicago to see Deanna when the peonies are in bloom!

What gorgeous peonies and photography Barbara! I missed ours blooming this year when we were out-of-town, by the time we got back what blooms remained had be pummeled by rain. I would be BEYOND thrilled to walk in my TJ's and find them :)
