an anniversary picnic...

We met when I was thirteen. We started dating when I was fifteen. We were engaged when I was eighteen. We were married when I was nineteen. He is my anchor, my love. We went to the mountains to celebrate.

A too quick hummingbird greeted us. The air was a perfect cool respite from the desert.

It still makes me so happy to see that ring on his finger.

HAPPY Anniversary, Barbara!!!!! How many years? My hubby and I are coming up on 44!!!!!!!!! I can barely believe it. He was 19 and I was 20 when we married! Your picnic was so nice, what was in the mason jars? THANK YOU so much for the compliment on my blog! I am a floral designer and we were always told to know when to stop, so I am glad you saw that. Congratulations! Your anniversary picnic is the one I see in my head every time I want to go on one! Right down to the wrapped sandwiches. Your photography is wonderful, and your styling just flawless. That is such a striking blue patchworked quilt. Everything here holds so much delight and nostalgia. I'm so pleased and startled that you thought of me while buying napkins! I think a little square of linen holds worlds of gentility in it's folds. Don't you LOVE how soft those PB napkins are? We are having the most mild and delicious August. Your cooler days must not be far behind.
